Burnt Offerings

Just like it sounds, Burnt Offerings is spicing things up this month with a steamy, sultry burlesque show worthy of New Orleans heat!

The preternatural community celebrated Independence day with elegance and flair! 

The ball was held in the magnificently restored Saenger Theatre, and was an immense success. A wonderful time was had by the large and diverse crowd

 The Mistress of New Orleans hosted special guests, the Master of Altanta  and his entourage for this esteemed event, increasing awareness for supernatural politics.

Thats right, for two nights (October 30th - 31st), All Continuity canon was suspended for an ALIEN INVASION!

Presea de Keltoi burst into the bar, "EVERYONE, LISTEN UP!" She roared, demanding instant attention as if there were a state of emergency, and there was. "30 Minutes ago, an unidentified flying object crashed on the edge of the bayou in the outskirts of New Orleans.When investigators arrived at the scene, all hell broke loose. Now I would not expect you to believe me, I would not even believe it for myself if I had not seen the carnage left behind... but everyone... New Orleans is under attack by an extra-terrestrial force. We are being invaded by aliens." She braced herself for the inevitable laughter and outcries of disbelief from her staff, patrons and the city resident regulars hanging around the bar, but before they could even start, the city's emergency sirens cut through the air like a bloodcurdling shriek. "There you have it! We need to arm ourselves and prepare NOW!!!"

3 separate breeds of Aliens infiltrated the city of New Orleans, and found those inside Burnt Offerings were prepared for an all out war for humanity. 

Rules:

The event will be governed by rolling a 1d20. Each competitor will roll a 1d20 per round, and whoever has the higher number will get the upper hand. Maintaining an upper hand for 3 rounds is a win. (As the referee, I will declare the winner at that point)

To roll a 20 is an automatic win for roller, while a 1 is an automatic lose for the roller.

The ULTIMATE winner tonight will be the person who holds the most wins overall, since people will be coming in and out all night.

Rounds cap out at 10 rolls. Whoever rolls the upper hand on roll 10 is declared the winner.

Only the competitors should be posting para's, or semi paras. If you want to throw in a cheer, encouragement, whatever, do so, but we're not holding up the actual match progression for spectator comments.

Yes, come all to the Burnt Offerings Renaissance Fayre, taking place this month!  Nothing that was invented before the year 1600!

Burnt Offerings 'Tavern' will serve mead, ale, wine to all with a quenchable thirst, minstrels and bards present for entertainment, and events for all!

Event #1: The Joust!!

Rules: Jousting will run based on a 1d20 system. The jouster who rolls the highest number will be victorious, the lower number will be knocked from their horse. A differece of 10+ will result in a broken lance. In the event of a tie, if the number is below 10, both rides are thrown from their horses. If the number is 11+, neither rider falls.

Burnt Offerings will be closed for one week, everyone is coming to Cancun! A private resort has been booked in order for the New Orleans supernaturals to enjoy an all inclusive stay on the Mayan Riviera! Rooms without windows are supplied for vampires, though they should arrange for their coffins to be transported on the plane. Night surfing, luaus, and all sorts of fun will occur, for a week at the beach!
